We live 10 hours away from the Miles Inn and Charlie Boys are one thing we really miss.  One year while planning to head to the Miles Inn for a Charlie Boy and schooner over Christmas, a big storm hit.  Dejected we tried to make our own Charlie Boys, we got close.  This recipe is in no way to take away from the delicious little sandwiches at the Miles Inn.  They are almost as good, but still missing something.  If you are anywhere near Sioux City just go to the Miles Inn for a Charlie Boy and schooner, they are cheap and damn they are good, and I'd eat one there vs. making my own any day.
