Turkey Chili

Good over brown rice or baked potatoes.

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 large cans diced tomatoes, 28 oz.
  • 32 oz tomato juice
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can pinto beans
  • 1 4 oz can chopped green chilies
Methods/steps
  1. Brown ground turkey with onion and garlic; drain.
  2. Add chili powder and cumin to the turkey and continue to saute for a minute or two (infusing the turkey with the spices).
  3. Stir in tomatoes, tomato juice, beans and green chilies. Heat to boiling. Cover and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
