Rhubarb-Mulberry Jam or strawberry-rhubarb jam

9 cups
  • 5 cups rhubarb, chopped
  • 3 cups mulberries, mashed ( or strawberries)
  • 5 cups sugar
  • 2 packages raspberry jello
Methods/steps
  1. Combine rhubarb, mulberries (or strawberries) and sugar and let stand until they form juice.
  2. Bring to a boil and simmer about 15 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from stove.
  4. Stir in jelllo.
  5. Put in sterile jars.
  6. Freeze.
Additional Tips
Another recipe used lemon jello instead of the raspberry jello. Haven't tried that yet, but that sounds good also. Can also use strawberries, mixed fruit or raspberries instead of mulberries. But strawberry/rhubarb is still our favorite!
