Basic buttermilk pancakes

12 - 4 inch pancakes
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole Wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
Methods/steps
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and buttermilk.
  3. Add the buttermilk mixture to the flour mixture, whisking to combine (a few small lumps are fine.)
  4. Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-low heat, pour1/4cup batter onto skillet.
  5. Cook the pancakes. Until bubbles begin to appear at the edges and in the center, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Flip.
  7. Cook the pancakes one minute more.
