Chocolate Topped Scotcheroos

Description A sweet treat for hot summer days. No baking required.

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 cup (6 ounces) chocolate chips
  • 1cup (6 ounces) butterscotch chips
Methods/steps
  1. Butter a a 9x13 pan.
  2. Cook together syrup and sugar in a 3 quart saucepan over medium heat until mixture boils.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter.
  4. Mix in Rice Krispies.
  5. Press into a buttered 9 X 13 pan.
  6. Melt chocolate and butterscotch ships. Spread on bars.
  7. Put in refrigerator 15 minutes, just to harden the chocolate.  Do not store in refridgerator, they will be too hard. 
  8. Cut into squares.  Enjoy!
