Description A nice simple, yet tasty, lasagna recipe courtesy of Greta Aronson.
At a glance
Cooking Method

2  lb. ground beef

2  15.5 oz. jars Spaghetti Sauce (Prego Italian Sausage and Garlic - for that standard lasagna zing)

4  eggs

3  cups cottage cheese

1/2  cup Parmesan cheese

3  cups Mozzarella cheese (save 1 cup for top)

2  tsp. oregano

12  lasagna noodles  (Soak top layer so they don't get hard while baking)

3/4  cup to 1  cup hot water

Brown beef, add sauce and oregano.

Mix eggs well and add cottage cheese, parmesan, and 2 cups Mozzarella

In 9x13 pan, alternate noodles, meat, egg/cheese mixture, noodles, meat, egg/cheese mixture, noodles, ending with meat on top.

Pour hot water around edges and cover with foil.

Bake 1-1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees.

During last 10 min. of baking, sprinkle with remaining Mozzarella and a little more parmesan.  Let cool 10 min.

Additional Tips
Even though no lasagna is really 'healthy', you can make it a little better by substituting ground turkey for half or all of the ground beef and make sure to use lowfat cottage cheese.
